    Description

Could this be your next challenge?

Picture yourself as the go-to expert who keeps critical industrial equipment running—diagnosing issues, installing systems, and welding repairs that keep production online.

    Imagine This Scenario

A conveyor stalls while a crusher vibrates out of spec. You arrive, assess root causes, rig and set replacement components, weld a reinforcement, and return the line to full speed. That’s the impact you’ll make here—every day.

    What You’ll Do

    • Dismantle, assemble, install, and fabricate equipment: mills, pulverizers, conveyors, crushers, and rotating machinery (belts, chains, fan housings, blowers, motors).
    • Diagnose faults and execute repairs on mills, pulverizers, crushers, and conveyors.
    • Safely rig, move, and set heavy, bulky units.
    • Determine whether removed parts/equipment should be salvaged or scrapped.
    • Repair, fabricate, and improve metal components using welding and cutting processes.
    • Work from blueprints, verbal directives, or your own innovative concepts to get the job done.
    • Support other crafts and apply your skills wherever needed in the plant.

    Tools & Gear

    • Craftsman hand tools and grinders
    • Electric or gas welders and cutting equipment
    • Transportation vehicles
    • Overhead cranes
    • Oil cans and grease guns

    Environment & Work Style

    • Work at heights and in confined spaces as required
    • Operate solo with minimal supervision or coordinate with maintenance teams
    • Adapt to hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy conditions depending on area

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Pass a skills assessment
    • Comfort with shift and rotating schedules; ability to work daily/weekend overtime and respond to call-outs; commitment to preventive maintenance and root cause analysis
    • 4 years of experience in manufacturing and/or heavy industrial skilled trades
