Build reliability that powers steelmaking at scale

Our mission is nonstop production at one of the world’s largest steel producers. As an Industrial Equipment Reliability Mechanic, you’ll be the hands-on force keeping critical mechanical assets safe, efficient, and available—so the line never stops.

Your impact

  • Own the lifecycle of plant mechanical systems—installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operation.
  • Maintain and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems that drive equipment performance.
  • Service power transmission systems and keep conveyors, cranes, and mobile equipment dependable.
  • Assist operating teams when needed to stabilize and sustain production.
  • Work across diverse environments—hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy—where reliability matters most.
  • Tackle tasks at heights and in confined spaces with the correct procedures.
  • Alternate between solo assignments with minimal supervision and collaborative maintenance efforts.

Tools of the trade

Use a mix of standard and specialized tools, plus mobile equipment—such as pendant and overhead cranes and forklifts—whenever the job requires it.

What you’ll need

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Successful completion of assessment test(s).
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or industrial experience (relevant military experience welcomed) or equivalent education. Applicable backgrounds include: hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, power transmission systems, welding, pipefitting, structural repair, and diesel mechanic.
  • Commitment to an 8-hour rotating schedule that includes Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Uncompromising safety mindset and adherence to all procedures, including required PPE: hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing, and metatarsal-protection boots.
  • Dependable attendance, punctuality, and strong self-direction to keep operations on track.

Grow with a team that builds the backbone of industry

If you’re energized by tough problems, complex machinery, and the satisfaction of restoring flow, this role puts your skill to work where it counts most—on the reliability of our mechanical systems and the success of our mill.
