A Day in the Life

You start your shift with a safety walk, ensuring the floor is hazard-free. Preventive maintenance is next—inspecting automation cells, presses, and conveyors so production runs smoothly. When a line calls for help, you lock out/tag out, diagnose the issue across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems, and get equipment back online efficiently.

  • Keep the workplace safe and report hazards immediately.
  • Execute and document preventive maintenance on machinery and building systems.
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults; repair or replace components.
  • Install, service, and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment.
  • Use welding and cutting tools; fabricate and repair wooden and metal structures as needed.
  • Calibrate, adjust, and fine-tune controls and instrumentation for proper performance.
  • Initiate purchase orders for parts and materials to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain clean, orderly areas that meet 5S standards.
  • Follow company policies; complete daily labor records; perform Lockout/Tagout correctly.
  • Cross-train to support multiple production areas and respond effectively to urgent needs.
  • Lift, lower, and carry up to 40 pounds as required.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
