Before production ramps up, you walk the floor, note any urgent work orders, and stage tools and parts so the team can hit the ground running. You map out the day’s maintenance plan, coach teammates on safe work practices, and jump in hands-on to troubleshoot critical equipment. By afternoon, you’ve coordinated materials for tomorrow, organized the shop, and communicated priority repairs to leadership—keeping our operation safe, reliable, and ready.

Where you fit

• Reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
• Works without direct reports; coordinates and leads maintenance activities across peers and vendors as needed.

What you’ll take on

• Plan, coordinate, direct, and lead a wide range of maintenance activities for buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Create and adjust maintenance schedules; expedite tasks and projects to minimize downtime.
• Share know-how: provide hands-on training and guidance for mechanical and maintenance procedures.
• Stage tools, supplies, and materials so jobs start on time and finish safely.
• Champion safety: enforce procedures and complete incident reporting accurately and promptly.
• Keep the maintenance shop organized and audit-ready; maintain strong housekeeping standards.
• Spot and escalate urgent work; communicate priority projects and emerging issues clearly.
• Prepare work areas and kits so the next day’s jobs are ready to go.
• Support seasonal tasks, including winter snow plowing for site access and safety.
• Open/close the building or yard as operational needs require.
• Flex your schedule—come in early, stay late, or follow special shifts to complete time-sensitive work.

What you bring

• High school diploma.
• 10+ years of hands-on equipment maintenance and repair experience.
• 5+ years supporting material handling and/or manufacturing operations.
• Sharp attention to detail and strong, practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proven troubleshooting ability, including identifying maintenance needs and required spare parts.

Work environment and physical demands

• Regular physical activity with frequent standing, walking, bending, and moving throughout the facility.
• Lift, carry, and position equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
• Exposure to typical shop conditions: noise, dust, fumes, and odors.
• Personal protective equipment required: safety glasses and hearing protection.
