Industrial Facility Systems Mechanic

A Day in This Role

You keep our buildings, grounds, and production environment running reliably. From electrical fixes to snow removal, you’ll pitch in wherever the facility needs you and support preventive maintenance on production assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Help maintain the plant’s physical structure, equipment, and grounds so everything stays in top working order.
• Support scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment by following established PM procedures.
• Tackle low-voltage electrical work and change bulbs, including exit/emergency signage and lighting.
• Perform plumbing installs and repairs, and work on compressed air lines (new runs and fixes).
• Handle interior finishes: ceilings, doors, walls, and windows—both repairs and new installations.
• Complete painting, masonry repair/installation, and flooring repair/installation to keep spaces safe and presentable.
• Remove snow and treat sidewalks to maintain safe access during winter weather.
• Conduct weekly walkthroughs of buildings and grounds and report findings to the Facilities Manager.
• Respond to off-hours/emergency call-ins to resolve urgent facility issues.
• Take on cleaning tasks not covered by contracted janitorial services.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED; completion of a four-year trade program or equivalent degree is preferred.
• 3–5 years of hands-on industrial facilities maintenance experience across carpentry, plumbing, low-voltage electrical, painting, preventive maintenance, and snow removal.
• Clear written and verbal communication; proficient in Microsoft Office; able to read, write, and speak English.
• Self-starter and team contributor who is results-focused, with excellent manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination.
