Industrial Forklift Mechanic

The Forklift Mechanic is responsible for periodic maintenance, repair and troubleshooting on various models of material handling equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Able to repair or replace minor and major system components, including electrical parts hydraulics, mechanical, L.P. systems, power steering, transmissions and engines.Troubleshoot forklift related issues.Perform proper preventative maintenance (PMs) in a timely manner.Service and repair other miscellaneous types of equipment including electric carts, trailers and yard equipment.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED equivalent is requiredMinimum 3 years' experience as a Forklift MechanicMust be willing to work 1st shiftMust pass pre-employment tests including a drug screen, background check, physical, Functional Capacity & Respirator examsJob requires frequent reaching above shoulders, stooping, kneeling, and/or crouchingMust be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 poundsAble to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematicsAbility to work in a team environment
