Industrial HVAC Engineer

As a result, we have a full-time position available for an Industrial HVAC Engineer in the Food & Beverage Group.ResponsibilitiesConducting job-site surveys of food and beverage plant HVAC systemsDefine system sanitary requirements for food production spacesDetermine equipment technology and strategies for moisture control and energy reductionProduce food process area heat load calculations for production, downtime, and cleanup modesCreate psychrometric calculations and charts for food process area conditionsDevelop instrument points list and sequence of operationDeveloping project documentation including drawings, air flow diagrams, equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.;Coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.Frequent (30-40%) travel will be required.The Successful Candidate Will HaveBachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.At least four years of relevant industrial HVAC engineering experienceThe Ideal Candidate Will Have any/all of the followingOn-site experience integrating equipment into existing systemsSpecification of sanitary air handling equipmentExperience developing Air Flow Diagrams for food and/or industrial projectsProficiency in MS Office softwareExperience mentoring less experienced staffFood plant experiencePEExperience running load calculationsComfortable with leading project specific client contactAt Mead & Hunt we shape the future by putting people first.
