Location: Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC), Maryland

Key Responsibilities

Conduct workplace hazard assessments and exposure evaluations
Perform noise monitoring and support hearing conservation efforts
Conduct respirator fit testing and recommend PPE
Develop and maintain radiation safety and dosimetry programs
Respond to safety incidents and provide 24/7 on-call support
Prepare clear, timely reports and documentation
Perform annual inspections and program reviews
Support occupational medical surveillance activities
Serve as Chemical Hygiene Officer and manage chemical safety programs

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
Minimum 4 years of industrial hygiene experience
Experience with hazard recognition, evaluation, and control
Ability to make independent professional judgments

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
