Job Description

Industrial Machinery Electrical Assembler

Company: Machine builder

Openings: 3

Compensation: Up to $32/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–5:00 PM

A day in the life

At first light, you step onto the manufacturing floor, schematics in hand. You scan blueprints and diagrams, plan your cable routes, and start mounting hardware—transformers, resistors, circuit breakers, and control units—exactly where they belong. By mid-morning, you’re crimping, soldering, labeling, and neatly dressing harnesses so the panel is clean, traceable, and compliant. After lunch, you bring power to life, verify continuity, test I/O, adjust settings, and chase down any wiring or control issues that surface. Before you clock out, you’ve logged your time and documentation, tidied your bay, and helped prepare a machine for final inspection—calling out any missing or nonconforming parts so the build hits its deadline and budget.

What you’ll handle

  • Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and work orders to plan and execute builds.
  • Assemble complete electrical systems, wiring, and subassemblies for industrial machinery.
  • Mount and secure components such as transformers, resistors, circuit breakers, and control devices.
  • Wire, solder, crimp, label, and route cables precisely to specification.
  • Inspect, test, adjust, and troubleshoot electrical assemblies and controls to resolve issues.
  • Assist with final machine inspection; identify and report missing or nonconforming components.
  • Work to UL specifications, project checklists, and all safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Keep the work area orderly; complete build documentation and record time accurately.
  • Deliver on project requirements, timelines, and cost targets.

What you bring

  • 5+ years of electrical assembly or closely related experience.
  • Technical training or certification related to electrical assembly.
  • Expert-level blueprint/print reading skills.
  • Strong command of wire sizing, color codes, routing practices, and common electrical components.
  • Hands-on proficiency with electrical assembly tools, soldering, and component installation.
  • Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic fundamentals.
  • Basic computer literacy and clear communication skills.

Work environment

Manufacturing floor setting with machinery noise. Expect extended periods of standing and some lifting/handling of materials and equipment.
