Industrial Maintenance Electrician - Canton, OH - Job 26-00499
Pay Range: $33.00 - $35.50/HR Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (M-F)
A Canton, Ohio area manufacture seeks to hire an Industrial Maintenance Electrician who has experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, installing and repairing industrial electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems
- Diagnose and repair 480V three-phase electrical equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot high-voltage electrical systems up to 69,000 volts
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and ladder logic systems
- Maintain AC and DC motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and electrical controls
- Service overhead cranes, air compressors, induction furnaces, and production equipment
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
- Assist in training and mentoring electrical apprentices through the company's learner program
- Follow OSHA regulations, National Electrical Code (NEC), and all company safety procedures
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Electrician Card (required)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of a recognized Electrical Apprenticeship Program with on-the-job training
- Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, steel mills, foundries, or similar industrial environments preferred
- Experience troubleshooting PLC systems and industrial automation equipment
- Knowledge of industrial electrical tools and testing equipment
- Ability to operate man lifts, aerial lifts, and scaffolding
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a foundry or machine shop environment
- Exposure to heat, cold, dust, vibration, and industrial noise
- Frequently lift 25-50 pounds
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders, cranes, scaffolding, and aerial lifts
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including:
- Hard hat
- Steel-toe boots
- Safety glasses
- Hearing protection
- Additional PPE as required
