Industrial Maintenance Mechanic — Automation & Robotics

Compensation: $36–$40 per hour
Schedule: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM, 2-2-3 rotation

A day in this role

You arrive on shift, glance over the production dashboard, and prioritize the night’s maintenance list. A conveyor needs an alignment check, a pneumatic actuator is due for preventive service, and a motor is trending warm on vibration readings. Midway through the night, an encoder fault trips a line. You dive into the schematics, isolate the root cause, swap the component, and bring the system back online—safely, quickly, and with lessons captured for continuous improvement. That’s the rhythm: anticipate, troubleshoot, repair, and keep state-of-the-art equipment running at peak reliability.

What you’ll tackle

• Analyze, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems to ensure uptime and safety.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, conveyors, pneumatic systems, production machinery, and other mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues with a root-cause mindset.
• Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering drawings.
• Identify underlying causes of failures and implement permanent, effective solutions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that elevate safety, reliability, and efficiency.
• Follow all safety standards, policies, and best practices every time.
• Partner with operations and production teams to minimize downtime and maximize performance.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or production.
• Basic computer proficiency and a strong safety focus.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting electromechanical systems, including controls, components, and wiring.
• Ability to troubleshoot and replace electrical field devices and components.
• Solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives and motors, bearings, and common fasteners/hardware.
• Preferred: PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting; exposure to robotic systems.
• Preferred: Controls/automation experience and familiarity with electrical safety devices and control system installations.
• Preferred: Process equipment controls troubleshooting and installation.
• Self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and driven by continuous improvement.
