Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

This position supports plant operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment to ensure safe and efficient production. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with manufacturing equipment, and the ability to perform maintenance activities in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

* Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and replace production equipment including tanks, pumps, agitators, gearboxes, valves, conveyors, blowers, and fans
* Perform maintenance activities in compliance with plant safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements
* Identify equipment issues and escalate complex repairs to maintenance leadership when necessary
* Document preventive maintenance activities, repair work, and spare parts usage within the CMMS system
* Perform pipefitting, welding, fabrication, equipment installation, and machinery alignment work
* Support equipment reliability and continuous operation of production systems
* Promote and maintain safe work practices throughout the facility
* Provide maintenance-related feedback and recommendations to management
* Work closely with engineers, operators, and contractors to support plant operations
* Assist with emergency repairs and other maintenance activities as required




Requirements:

* 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM schedule
* Ability to work every other weekend as part of a rotating schedule
* Open to working scheduled overtime and additional hours as needed
* High school diploma or GED required
* Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience (chemical manufacturing experience preferred)
* U.S. Citizen required
* Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical production equipment
* Welding, fabrication, and pipefitting experience preferred
* Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
* Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Ability to be trained and work in confined spaces
* Comfortable working at heights, including scissor lifts, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms
