Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Electro‑Mechanical)

Your shift, your impact

Picture this: it’s 3:30 pm and you’re stepping onto the floor, tools ready. By 3:45 you’ve triaged a CNC alarm, swapped a sensor, and verified the fix with a quick continuity check. Later, you’re aligning a gearbox with laser precision, then dialing in a VFD to stabilize a conveyor. Before 2:00 am, you’ve knocked out scheduled PMs, documented findings, and helped a teammate safely rig a press brake component. That’s a satisfying night’s work.

Compensation and schedule

• Pay: $24–$29 per hour, paid weekly
• Second shift differential: +$4.00/hour
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 pm–2:00 am; overtime as needed Friday–Sunday

What you’ll do

• Champion safety and follow all procedures that protect people, equipment, and product quality.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
• Install, assemble, test, and maintain electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, fixtures, and apparatus using hand, power, and precision measuring tools.
• Diagnose faults in systems, components, and apparatus using meters, scopes, and test equipment; repair to root cause.
• Wire and terminate to circuit breakers, transformers, and related components per code.
• Lay out, balance, align, and verify equipment performance; execute laser alignment and vibration checks.
• Safely rig, move, and set equipment; complete miscellaneous maintenance and safety-related tasks.
• Fabricate parts and fixtures from cold‑rolled steel, stainless, plate, and structural shapes; fit valves and related components.
• Maintain electrical systems to applicable country, state, and federal codes.
• Support both mechanical and electrical rigging/maintenance activities as needed across the facility.
• Follow established safety and quality programs and all related processes.
• Take on other duties as assigned.

What you bring

• 2+ years in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting with advanced processing equipment, CNC machinery, material handling systems, press brakes, lifting devices, and sawing equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; predictive and preventive maintenance know‑how and pipefitting familiarity.
• Proficiency with oxy‑acetylene and welding; welding certification required.
• Laser alignment and vibration monitoring experience (required).
• Safe, skilled operation of shop tools (hand and power), forklifts, and high lifts.
• Comfort working from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• VFD programming competency and ability to troubleshoot PLCs.
• Ability to test electrical systems and wiring continuity with ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to verify compatibility and safety.
• English language skills: speak, read, and write conversational English.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Physical and environmental realities

• Lift 20–50 lbs repeatedly during the shift.
• Stand, sit, bend, climb, twist, and stoop for extended periods.
• Walk 2–5 miles per shift; maintain 20/30 vision with corrective lenses.
• Fine motor control and manual dexterity to grasp and manipulate small parts precisely.
• Indoor/outdoor conditions with temperature changes, loud noise, and vibration.
• Hazards: moving machinery, electrical current, scaffolding/high places, high heat, and chemicals.
• Atmospheric exposures: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
• Possible air/skin exposure to oils and cutting fluids.
