What you’ll do
- Perform complex repairs and maintenance on multi-discipline equipment
- Troubleshoot infrequent, cross-system issues using advanced tools
- Lead within the maintenance team—mentor mechanics and standardize PM practices
- Partner with Production, Quality, and Engineering to optimize operations
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance to raise reliability
- Run root cause analysis; implement corrective and preventive actions
- Document work, analyze equipment data, and deliver improvement recommendations
- Champion OSHA compliance and a safety-first culture; support audits and initiatives
- Continuously expand technical and leadership skills; take on progressively complex projects
How you’ll succeed
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Use CMMS, Excel, and Word effectively; interpret P&ID diagrams
- Apply strong troubleshooting methods to mechanical/electrical/automated systems
- Operate diagnostic tools and precision instruments confidently
- Communicate clearly with team members, engineers, and leaders
What you bring
- 3+ years of maintenance experience with mechanical, electrical, PLC controls, robotics, pneumatics, and automation
- High School diploma or GED (required)
- Associates degree or certifications (mechanical, electrical, PLC, etc.) preferred
- Maintenance trade certifications or advanced technical training a plus
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience highly desirable
- Proven mentoring/leadership in a maintenance setting highly preferred
- Manufacturing or industrial experience; bedding manufacturing or related preferred
Work environment
- Stand/walk at least 8 hours per day (longer with overtime) and lift up to 120 pounds multiple times per hour; team lifting required
- Exposure to noise, hot materials, and chemicals in a fast-paced plant; PPE required
- Flexible scheduling including potential overtime, weekends, and night shifts
