    Description

    Overview Performs a wide variety of maintenance and repair to production and plant equipment, the building and related facility systems from the direction of the Team Leader and the department Manager. Responsibilities Ensure correct and safe operation of Production and support equipment and machinery. Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment that includes packaging lines and blow molders, conveyors, electrical systems, pneumatic tools and hydraulic equipment. Perform PM's to all equipment in facility. Identify faulty equipment through observation, testing, and troubleshooting. Source replacement parts and perform repairs. Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime. Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists and hand tools. Assess the condition of used parts using micrometers, calipers and specifications. Maintain parts and tools inventory. Prepare maintenance reports and summary presentations using daily activity logs, analysis and trends. Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops and technical reading. Perform building maintenance. Repairs/Replaces plumbing fixtures and systems. Performs facility and grounds clean up as needed. Performs basic metal fabrication using shop equipment. Relocates and Rebuilds equipment. Performs PM on Fire system. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience required Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics Basic understanding of electrical systems Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Advanced technical or college training preferred Equipment Used: Multi-meters, hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, compressors, boilers, snow thrower, shovels, pickup truck, chillers, towers, lift truck, baler, compactor, etc.
