    About OGG Construction

OGG Construction is a full-service industrial contractor based in Bel Air, Maryland. Since 2004, we have provided construction, maintenance, repair, fabrication, and equipment services to industrial facilities throughout the Baltimore metropolitan area and surrounding markets.

We pride ourselves on providing dependable, high-quality service and building long-term relationships with our clients. Many of the facilities we serve have worked with OGG Construction for more than 20 years.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright to join our team.

    Position Overview

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright will work throughout a variety of industrial facilities performing equipment installation, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, fabrication, piping, and construction-related work.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working in industrial environments, solving mechanical problems, and completing a wide variety of projects rather than performing the same task every day.

The majority of our work is located in and around the Baltimore metropolitan area, allowing employees to work locally in most cases. Opportunities for occasional travel are available depending on project requirements.

    Responsibilities

    Typical duties include:

    • Installation and setting of industrial machinery and equipment
    • Equipment relocation, removal, and replacement
    • Machine modifications and upgrades
    • Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment
    • Preventive and scheduled maintenance
    • Industrial fabrication and welding-related work
    • Structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and installation
    • Industrial piping installation, repair, and modification
    • Process piping and process system work
    • Pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, shafts, and related equipment
    • Equipment alignment and mechanical assembly
    • Rigging and equipment installation
    • Assisting with new construction and facility improvement projects
    • Shutdown and outage work
    • General industrial maintenance and repair
    • Working safely and professionally inside active industrial facilities

    Schedule

Our normal work schedule is typically:

    Monday through Friday
    Approximately 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

The majority of our work is performed during normal day-shift hours. However, because we service operating industrial facilities, employees must be willing to work occasional weekends, nights, shutdowns, and on-call hours when required by our customers or specific projects.

Most work is local to the Baltimore metropolitan area, with occasional travel opportunities depending on project needs.

    Qualifications

Ideal candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

    • Industrial maintenance
    • Millwright work
    • Mechanical equipment installation
    • Machinery repair and troubleshooting
    • Industrial construction
    • Welding and fabrication
    • Industrial piping
    • Process systems
    • Rigging and equipment setting

    Candidates should also:

    • Have the ability to read measurements, use hand and power tools, and work from drawings or field measurements
    • Be dependable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
    • Take pride in quality workmanship
    • Maintain a professional attitude when working at customer facilities
    • Follow company and customer safety requirements
    • Be willing to perform a variety of industrial construction and maintenance tasks
    • Be available for occasional overtime, weekend, night, and on-call work as needed
