Nucor Rebar Fabrication Southwest is hiring an IndustrialMaintenance Technician in Phoenix, Arizona. This role supports fabrication operations through equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and safety-focused process improvements to maximize production efficiency and reliability. The ideal candidate will have experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance, the ability to read schematic diagrams, and a strong understanding of OSHA safety standards.

Job Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
    • Minimum 2 years of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance and repair
    • Minimum 2 years of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience
    • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical drawings
    • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and safe maintenance practices
    • Ability to uphold and enforce workplace safety procedures and housekeeping standards
    • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and preventative maintenance skills
    • Ability to maintain repair documentation and spare parts inventory records
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills in a manufacturing environment

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on fabrication and production equipment
    • Troubleshoot, repair, and modify hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to support operational efficiency
    • Assist with machine guard design, safety device installation, and overall workplace safety improvements
    • Support equipment installation and provide recommendations regarding machinery purchases
    • Develop visual standards, inspection routines, and maintenance checklists for operators
    • Maintain and improve critical spare parts inventory while supporting lean inventory practices
    • Generate parts lists and labor estimates for repair projects
    • Train shop personnel on new equipment and modifications to existing machinery
    • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
    • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and housekeeping standards
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
