As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll keep equipment reliable, production moving, and teammates safe on a third-shift schedule. Initial training occurs on first shift during onboarding, and you’ll have company-provided tools plus a stable environment with long-term growth opportunities.
A night in this role
You arrive, review the maintenance log, and prioritize calls. A conveyor is down—you isolate power, follow LOTO, and trace the fault to a failed contactor. Later, you swap a pump seal, interpret an Allen‑Bradley PLC alarm, and verify a VFD parameter change with your meter. Before the shift ends, you complete PMs, document work performed, and flag a gearbox vibration trend for predictive follow-up. You leave the line running smoothly for the day crew.
What you'll take on
- Troubleshoot, repair, and sustain industrial production machinery
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance plans
- Diagnose mechanical systems: conveyors, mixers, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Work on electrical systems up to 480V: motors, starters, relays, contactors, and VFDs
- Perform Allen‑Bradley PLC fault diagnostics and basic troubleshooting
- Use meters and electrical test equipment to pinpoint issues
- Apply Lockout/Tagout and all plant safety requirements
- Maintain accurate CMMS/maintenance documentation
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
- Work independently while collaborating with operations and maintenance teammates
What you bring
Required
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Proven mechanical troubleshooting and repair capability
- Hands-on experience with 120/208/240/480 VAC systems
- Allen‑Bradley PLC troubleshooting exposure
- Background with conveyors, mixers, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Ability to read/interpret technical documentation and electrical schematics
- Comfort using hand/shop tools and electrical test instruments
- Solid Lockout/Tagout knowledge
- Ability to work independently on an off-shift (third shift)
Preferred
- Welding and fabrication
- Forklift operation
- Scissor lift experience
- Experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing
Work environment & safety
Work takes place in an industrial manufacturing facility. Required PPE may include:
- Respirator
- Steel-toed boots
- Hearing protection
- Additional PPE as required
You may work around lead-containing materials and must strictly follow all safety and environmental protocols.
