    Description

    Industrial Maintenance Operations Lead (Chemical Manufacturing)

    Your Mission

    • Lead maintenance execution and reliability improvement at our Richmond, CA sulfuric acid and regeneration facility.
    • Guide craft personnel and contractors to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance and capital work.
    • Use data and the CMMS to plan, schedule, and complete preventive, corrective, and emergent tasks.
    • Drive incident investigations, root-cause actions, and continuous improvement aligned with Responsible Care.

    Role Snapshot

    • Schedule: Monday to Friday
    • Reports to: Maintenance Manager
    • Compensation: Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000 + bonus + benefits. (salaried, exempt)

    Core Outcomes

    • Daily plan readiness and effective communication with Operations on priorities and emergent work.
    • High on-time completion of PMs and work orders; accurate labor and materials tracking in the CMMS.
    • Robust spares strategy for mechanical, instrumentation, welding, rotating equipment, pipe-valve-fittings, filters, bearings, and hoses.
    • Clear JSAs, strong safety leadership, and closure of EHS actions.
    • Reliable outage planning, budget stewardship, KPI reviews, and post-job critiques.
    • Competency growth through targeted training and coaching for maintenance technicians.

    Tools & Equipment You’ll Oversee

    Pumps, motors, piping systems, valves, turbines, and heat exchangers across a chemical processing environment.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma.
    • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
    • 3+ years supervising hourly craft teams.
    • Industrial safety program experience.
    • CMMS experience; strong PC skills (Word, Excel).
    • Knowledge of chemical/refinery/power/pulp & paper equipment; SAP familiarity (purchasing/PM modules) is a plus.

    Health & Fitness for Duty

    Annual medical assessments are required, including a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) and confirmation you can wear a respirator, as a condition of employment.
