Industrial Maintenance Technician
We are currently seeking motivated candidates to support large industrial equipment and facility systems in Akron, Ohio. This role is perfect for individuals with mechanical or industrial maintenance experience or training who are eager to work in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
Join our team and contribute to the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery used in metal processing and recycling. You'll work with a variety of industrial equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with building and facilities upkeep. This position offers opportunities for skill development supported by our experienced Maintenance Manager, who will provide training and guidance on repairs.

Hours: Monday Friday, 7:30am 4:00pm, with overtime available on Saturdays
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00/hour, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical problems on production equipment
Perform preventive maintenance and suggest improvements
Replace worn parts and fluids; test and adjust components for proper operation
Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records
Execute assignments aligned with your skillset; report on progress
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Communicate daily with maintenance leadership about machine conditions and issues
Inspect motors, gearboxes, shafts, fluids, filters, and other equipment
Maintain a clean, safe work area following 5S principles
Perform general building maintenance such as replacing doors, fixtures, and changing lights
Minimum Requirements:
1+ years of experience repairing or maintaining mechanical equipment, or vocational/trade school training
Knowledge of general mechanical systems and their operation
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools
Ability and willingness to get dirty and wear PPE
Steel-toed shoes/boots required; other PPE provided
Ability to occasionally wear a respirator
Strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols
Nice to Have Skills:
Welding experience or knowledge
Preferred Education and Experience:
Vocational or trade school training in mechanical or manufacturing equipment
Other Requirements:
Own hand tools preferred but not required
Must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
