Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift
Barberton, OH
Starting Pay: $30.00/Hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Express Employment Professionals Akron is currently hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing company in the Barberton area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who has experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment in a manufacturing or machining environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose equipment issues and minimize downtime
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
- Install, maintain, and repair production equipment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications
3-5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or machining environment
Strong knowledge of machine maintenance
Experience with:- Electrical systems
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
Ability to diagnose and repair production equipment efficiently
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
