QUALIFICATIONS

Role Requirements
Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience performing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.


Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematic diagrams, alongside basic knowledge of electrical theory, machinery, and tools.


Safety & Compliance: Familiarity with OSHA safety standards, occupational safety practices, and installing or programming safety devices.


Education & Certifications: Preferred two-year technical degree from an accredited school, along with training in electrical controls, welding, mobile crane operation, or rigging.


Legal Authorization: Authorization to work in the United States without present or future employer sponsorship.


Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, dependability, time management, and clear communication and teamwork skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine and scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and modify equipment to minimize unplanned downtime and ensure operational safety and efficiency.


Safety Support & Device Guarding: Partner with the safety team to design, develop, and install machine guards and safety devices in compliance with Nucor and OSHA standards.


Operations Support & Training: Develop visual standards and simple inspection routines for operators, train shop teammates on equipment, and advise management on machine purchasing and installation.


Inventory & Recordkeeping: Maintain and grow critical spare parts lists supporting Lean inventory principles, generate parts lists and labor time estimates, and keep detailed repair records.
