Express Employment Professionals is hiring Industrial Maintenance Technicians for opportunities in Champaign and Rantoul. Multiple shifts are available, with placement based on your experience and schedule.

We’re looking for people who can find the problem, make the repair, and get equipment back into production. If your background includes mechanical repair, electrical troubleshooting, PLCs, or industrial welding, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot and repair production, processing, packaging, and material-handling equipment
• Complete preventive maintenance and inspect equipment for wear or developing problems
• Repair or replace bearings, belts, motors, pumps, valves, gearboxes, and related components
• Respond to breakdowns and identify the cause of equipment failures
• Perform electrical troubleshooting or PLC diagnostics as your experience and the position require
• Use welding and fabrication skills for equipment repairs where applicable
• Assist with equipment installations, adjustments, and upgrades
• Document repairs and communicate recurring maintenance concerns

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, millwright work, or equipment repair
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to independently complete common repairs
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• Ability to read equipment manuals, technical drawings, or schematics relevant to your work
• Dependable attendance and safe work practices

Electrical troubleshooting, PLC experience, and welding skills—especially TIG welding—are valuable. Requirements vary by opening, so candidates with strong mechanical experience are encouraged to apply.

Work Environment

These are hands-on positions in industrial and manufacturing facilities. Work may include extended standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting equipment components, and working around machinery, noise, and changing temperatures. Required PPE must be worn.
