Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join a manufacturing operation in the Owasso area. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial production equipment, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations.
The ideal candidate has a strong industrial electrical background with hands-on experience troubleshooting motors, controls, sensors, relays, and production equipment. Experience with PLCs and VFDs is highly preferred.
Required Experience & Skills
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques
Experience diagnosing motors, controls, sensors, relays, and electrical circuits
Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Reliable attendance and strong commitment to workplace safety
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial production equipment
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Diagnose electrical problems involving motors, controls, sensors, relays, and circuits
Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical equipment and machinery
Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and identify root causes of failures
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify potential failures before breakdowns occur
Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules
Respond to production equipment issues and help minimize downtime
Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders
Communicate equipment concerns and repair needs to supervisors and production personnel
Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance work areas
Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance policies
Perform additional industrial maintenance duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Experience troubleshooting PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
Experience with VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
Advanced industrial electrical diagnostic experience
Manufacturing or production equipment maintenance experience
Experience with motor controls and industrial control systems
Strong preventive maintenance background
Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing facility
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and equipment access
Ability to safely use electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working around industrial electrical systems, production machinery, hydraulics, and pneumatic equipment
Ability to work overtime and respond to emergency maintenance needs when required
