This opportunity offers a stable career move for a maintenance professional looking to trade corporate volatility and cutting-corner safety cultures for genuine stability, high-caliber training, and professional respect. Operating as a legendary, century-old food manufacturing leader in the Greater Madison area, this company has built a reputation over the past 100 years as much on how it treats its employees as on the quality of what it produces. It is an established environment where people don't just take a job—they plant deep roots and build multi-decade careers.

The organization invests heavily in setting its maintenance team up to succeed from day one, providing world-class training, high-end tools, and a facility where safety is an absolute, non-negotiable priority. You will join a positive, non-political 2nd shift where team members look out for one another and take pride in keeping precision machinery running smoothly. If you want to work for an incredibly stable, highly respected employer that backs up its operation with a top-tier overtime compensation model—including time-and-a-half after 8 daily hours and guaranteed double-time on Sundays—this environment is built for your trade.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Execute comprehensive mechanical maintenance, rapid fault-tracing, and emergency breakdown repairs across an array of high-speed processing and packaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and rebuild complex conveyor systems, high-speed belts, sortation lines, and mechanical drive assemblies.
  • Diagnose and service high-pressure pneumatic systems, pneumatic valves, heavy-duty hydraulic pumps, and fluid power loops safely.
  • Utilize welding equipment as needed to modify structural frameworks, repair machine guards, and reinforce production floor components.
  • Partner closely with production leadership to maintain an immaculate, fully compliant manufacturing footprint that meets strict sanitation and safety standards.

What We Are Looking For

  • Industrial maintenance background featuring a minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience troubleshooting machinery in a fast-paced production environment; hands-on familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors is required.
  • Fabrication fundamentals backed by a proven ability to handle basic welding and torch-cutting tasks for machinery repair applications.
  • Environment readiness with complete comfort working inside a regulated processing environment and a strict personal commitment to workplace cleanliness, safety protocols, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Professional reliability and a steady, consistent employment history that demonstrates long-term commitment, punctuality, and strong teamwork.
  • Local commute and permanent residency established within a comfortable, daily 45-minute driving radius of the Greater Madison, WI area.
