    Description

    Maintenance Technician

    Position Summary

    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This role will diagnose equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, support equipment installations and rebuilds, and complete facility-related repairs and projects. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver who can work independently while collaborating effectively with production and maintenance teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other manufacturing equipment issues.

    • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment to maximize uptime and equipment reliability.

    • Install, set up, modify, and commission new and existing manufacturing equipment.

    • Perform equipment rebuilds, overhauls, and major repairs as needed.

    • Complete welding, fabrication, and other maintenance-related projects.

    • Perform facility maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects as assigned.

    • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production-related maintenance issues.

    • Maintain accurate maintenance records, including TPM documentation, daily logs, Control Plans, downtime reports, and work orders.

    • Partner with Production Supervisors, Managers, and other internal resources to coordinate labor, materials, tools, and equipment required to complete maintenance activities.

    • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety, efficiency, and overall plant performance.

    • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and practices while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

    • Work independently with minimal supervision and effectively prioritize multiple maintenance activities.

    • Support overtime, weekends, and other schedule requirements as needed, including regularly scheduled 3rd-shift work.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on manufacturing maintenance experience.

    • Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.

    • Associate degree, technical degree, apprenticeship, or other formal technical training preferred.

    • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

    • Experience with welding, fabrication, equipment repair, and preventative maintenance.

    • Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    • Willingness to work 3rd shift and overtime as required.

    • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.
