Industrial Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift Location: Devens, MA (On-site) Schedule: MondayFriday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Overtime as needed; initial training on mid-shift 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM) Employment Type: Full-time Experience Level: Mid-Level (5 - 8 years)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical production equipment to ensure maximum uptime, efficiency, and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production machinery and plant systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
Install, modify, and service electrical wiring, conduits, and control systems
in an industrial setting.
Interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Assist with fabrication, plumbing, welding, and other general maintenance tasks as required.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire, and electrical safety codes, as well as company safety protocols.
Collaborate effectively with team members, management, and vendors to support smooth plant operations.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and required safety training.
Complete mandatory monthly online safety courses.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of relevant industrial maintenance experience, or a combination of technical school training and hands-on work experience.
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including AC/DC motor control, PLCs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Proven ability to read schematics and perform detailed troubleshooting.
Familiarity with networked systems and industrial computer hardware/software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-volume production environment.
