Industrial Maintenance Technician — Mechanical & Hydraulic Systems

A day in this role

You start your shift reviewing preventive maintenance tasks, then head to the floor to keep production moving. A call comes in from the roll‑forming line—an upstream conveyor has stopped. You isolate energy using LOTO, trace the fault through the gearbox and motor, and bring it back online. Later, you align a troublesome drive assembly, swap a worn hydraulic hose using JIC/SAE fittings, and finish by greasing motors and gearboxes so they run cool and smooth. Throughout the day, you rotate where you’re needed most—supporting equipment in roll‑forming, welding/fabrication, and the paint line—always with safety first.

What you'll handle

• Preventive maintenance and rapid response to equipment breakdowns
• Troubleshooting and repair of conveyors, gearboxes, motors, and hydraulic systems
• Equipment and component alignments to spec
• Replacement of hydraulic hoses; comfortable with JIC and SAE fittings
• Greasing and lubrication of motors, gearboxes, and other industrial assets
• Strict adherence to LOTO (lockout/tagout) and plant safety procedures
• Cross‑department support across roll‑forming, welding/fabrication, and paint‑line operations

What you bring

• Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting abilities
• Hands‑on background with conveyors, gearboxes, motors, and precision alignments
• Working knowledge of industrial greases and lubrication practices
• Proven experience replacing hydraulic hoses
• Bonus: exposure to presses, paint lines, or hydraulic‑heavy manufacturing equipment
