Industrial Maintenance Technician
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This individual will be responsible for minimizing downtime by performing preventative maintenance, responding to equipment failures, and ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and is comfortable working on a variety of industrial equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Inspect, adjust, and replace motors, bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, pumps, valves, and other machine components.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Assist with machine installations, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, including motors, sensors, relays, contactors, and control circuits.
- Support PLC troubleshooting and communicate control system issues to engineering or controls personnel.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a CMMS system when applicable.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), OSHA regulations, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and plant efficiency.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing, production, or processing environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with industrial equipment.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, motors, bearings, and power transmission systems.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience with AC/DC motors, sensors, relays, and control circuits.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Welding, fabrication, machining, or PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts as needed.
