Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $35.93.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role supports plant performance by minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a 12-hour Night Shift (2-2-3 schedule) and we can accept candidates for this range of $31.04----$35.93 an hour based on qualifications and skill set

Your Day to Day:

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and execute timely repairs
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to troubleshoot equipment
  • Install, modify, and repair machinery, components, and control systems
  • Use diagnostic tools (e.g., voltmeters, ammeters) to test equipment performance

Electrical & Mechanical Work

  • Maintain and repair electrical systems including single-phase and three-phase power distribution
  • Install and repair conduit, wiring, motors, and control systems
  • Perform mechanical repairs on conveyors, drives, pumps, and other production equipment
  • Support equipment upgrades, retrofits, and continuous improvement projects

Reliability & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and refine preventive maintenance plans to improve uptime
  • Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions
  • Recommend process and equipment improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety, environmental, and JM policies and procedures
  • Complete Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and identify/report hazards
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and support plant housekeeping initiatives
  • Wear proper PPE and actively contribute to a safety-first culture

Team Collaboration

  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to resolve issues quickly
  • Communicate effectively across shifts to ensure continuity of maintenance activities
  • Train and support team members on equipment and best practices

What You Bring to the Team:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4-7 years of multi-craft maintenance experience
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read schematics, prints, and technical documentation
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems and controls (preferred)
  • Ability to disassemble, diagnose, repair, and perform preventative repair measures on mechanical equipment including, but not limited to: pumps, gearboxes, reducers, couplings, seals, rotating elements, blowers, fans, hydraulic units, valves, chillers, and compressors
  • Demonstrate advanced Mechanical aptitude, including pipe fitting, fabricating
  • Knowledge of use of hand tools and power tools
  • Knowledge of shop machinery, including hydraulic press, mill & drill press, lathe, and saw(s) (band & Chop)
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and maintenance systems

Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements of this position are: (these requirements are typical for most of our manufacturing roles)

  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • The ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.
  • Use of hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling)
  • The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment
  • The ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold).
  • The ability to withstand the rigors of working a 12(or 8)-hour rotating shift schedule.
  • The ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively.
  • The ability to reach or work above the shoulder
