Schedule

Training: 9:00am–9:00pm with a rotating schedule. Post‑training: rotating 6:00pm–6:00am.

A day in your role

As an experienced maintenance professional, you arrive to a clean, safety‑first shop. You review overnight runtime and downtime reports, pull the day’s work orders, and gather parts for scheduled preventive maintenance. On the floor, you move from line to line: checking fluid levels, lubricating assets, tightening fasteners, cleaning components, and calibrating sensors and gauges to manufacturer specifications. You run diagnostic tests to assess equipment condition and functionality, trace symptoms to root causes with diagnostic tools, and plan minor to moderate repairs—selecting the right materials, replacement parts, and tools for the job.

Between PMs, you document every action—parts used, work performed, and any recommendations for future adjustments—then close out paperwork such as work orders, parts requests, PM and runtime inspection sheets, RCA and downtime reports. You collaborate with senior mechanics for complex issues and offer practical guidance to junior teammates when they have routine questions. When projects arise, you jump in to install, modify, or relocate machinery, following diagrams, sketches, OEM manuals, blueprints, schematics, and P&IDs. Throughout the shift, you keep the workshop organized, proactively inspect and maintain your tools, and help manage inventory by verifying receipts, placing replacement orders, and requesting replenishment of commonly used items. Above all, you operate by Greif’s safety procedures and best practices.
