Description
Service Center Metals, located in Prince George, VA is a leader in the aluminum industry, and we are hiring for an experienced multi-crafted Industrial Maintenance Technician, who will report to the Maintenance Manager.
Must Have:
Must have at least 2-5 years’ experience of Industrial Hydraulic systems, Electrical systems, Pneumatic systems, and Fabrication.
Industrial troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
Reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, or wiring diagrams.
Installing new production equipment.
Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.
Identifying faulty equipment.
Making relevant adjustments to machinery.
Inspecting machines and electrical equipment.
Carrying out preventive maintenance to ensure that industrial machines remain operational.
Work in a team environment at a fast pace.
Be dependable and accountable to work with team members.
Work a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts/alternating every other weekend including overtime.
Lift 20 - 50 pounds or more on a regular basis and 51 – 75 pounds on an occasional basis.
Able to reach, stoop, bend, and be physical throughout a work shift.
Work effectively in very hot and cold temperatures.
Must have excellent math and communication skills.
High School Graduate or GED.
