Headquartered in Sterling Heights Michigan, Coplas employs approximately 50 employees.Coplas is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment and facility systemsJob Summary & Reporting Structure:The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment, automation systems, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role supports the continuous operation of injection molding machines, robotic systems, auxiliary equipment, and facility services through preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives.The ideal candidate is a skilled industrial tradesperson with strong mechanical and electrical capabilities and experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, automation, PLCs, and robotics in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentExperience in injection molding, robotics, PLCs, and industrial maintenance is highly desirable.Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment, auxiliary equipment, and facility systems.Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation-related issues.Maintain and improve injection molding machines, robots, and supporting equipment.Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.Assist with the installation, commissioning, startup, and validation of new equipment and process improvements.Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and robotic systems as required.Support robotic cell troubleshooting, end-of-arm tooling maintenance, and automation improvements.Perform maintenance on facility systems including compressed air systems, cooling systems, HVAC equipment, and power distribution systems.Complete maintenance work orders, PM documentation, and maintenance records accurately and on time.Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on safety, quality, productivity, and equipment reliability.Maintain compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and all applicable environmental and safety standards.Qualifications:Electrician, Industrial Electrician, Millwright, or equivalent industrial trade qualification.Technical diploma, certificate, or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Automation, Robotics, Electrical Technology, or a related fieldThree to five years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout and industrial safety practices.Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodationInjection molding, automotive manufacturing, PLC, automation, or Fanuc robotics experience is preferred.Coplas Inc. is proud to be an inclusive and equal opportunity employer.
