We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis in Virginia Beach. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment and facility systems within the USM manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines, lathes, mills, conveyors, compressors, and facility systems
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting safely using Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and building systems
- Read and interpret schematics, manuals, and flow charts
- Troubleshoot motors, lighting, industrial power systems, and controls
- Support facility maintenance including plumbing, lighting, and HVAC systems
- Operate forklifts and lifts safely as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards regarding manufacturing and assembly equipment
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on industrial maintenance experience required
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- CNC maintenance experience preferred
- Comfortable working independently and within a team environment
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude and reliability
- Experience using Microsoft Office preferred
- Ability to use basic metrology equipment such as calipers and micrometers
- Understanding of mechanical alignment fundamentals
- Comfortable working at heights using scissor lifts or boom lifts as needed
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM
- Training will take place on First Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) for approximately 6 months
