Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Facility Maintenance Technician to support daily operations, preventive maintenance, and repair of plant equipment and building systems. This role is critical in keeping manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems and production equipment
- Repair and maintain mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and minor electrical
- Conduct welding, cutting, brazing, fabrication, and machine shop work as needed
- Operate forklifts, tractors, sweepers, company vehicles, and other industrial equipment safely
- Maintain grounds, including seasonal snow removal and outdoor facility upkeep
- Schedule, track, and complete maintenance work orders efficiently
- Manage inventory, order parts/supplies, and coordinate off-site pickups when required
- Support safety compliance including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Provide backup support for custodial and production maintenance functions
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on industrial or plant maintenance experience OR 2-year technical degree (Industrial Maintenance or related trade)
- Strong experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, metal cutting/brazing, and mechanical repair
- Ability to operate forklifts, tractors, sweepers, and maintenance vehicles safely
- Working knowledge of basic electrical troubleshooting
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and work order systems
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working at heights up to 60 feet and below-grade environments up to 10 feet
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to work onsite in Windsor, WI (local candidates only)
Must-Have Requirements
- Strong industrial maintenance background (manufacturing/plant environment preferred)
- Hands-on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding experience
- Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures (LOTO compliance required)
- No relocation assistance provided
