Industrial Materials Handler & Molding Cell Operator

Day in the life

At 7:00 AM in Elmhurst, IL, you step onto the production floor and help get a molding cell ready for the day. You stage materials, assist with setup and tool changes, and load raw stock so the first run kicks off smoothly. As parts emerge from molds, you safely unload them, perform quick visual and dimensional checks with hand tools, and complete finishing tasks like threading, trimming, wet sanding, and cleaning. You record production and quality data as you go, keep your cell tidy and safe, then package, palletize, wrap, and strap finished product so shipping can move fast. By 4:30 PM, you’ve kept work flowing—and every other Friday, you’re already off.

Schedule, location, and type

• Location: Elmhurst, IL
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM (Every other Friday OFF)
• Type: Temp to hire
• Pay: $19.00 per hour

What you will do

• Assist with machine setup, material preparation, and tool changes to support production starts and changeovers.
• Load raw materials and safely unload finished parts from molds.
• Conduct basic visual and dimensional inspections using hand measurement tools.
• Complete part finishing: threading, trimming, wet sanding, and cleaning.
• Accurately document production counts and quality checks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area per company protocols.
• Package finished products; palletize, wrap, and strap for shipment.
• Lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily material handling.
• Pitch in with other duties as assigned to keep operations running.

What you bring

• Hands-on experience as a material handler and machine operator.
• Comfort with heavy material handling and palletizing.
• Working knowledge of shipping/receiving workflows.
• Ability to perform precision measurement and basic QC checks.
• Reliable documentation habits and safety-first mindset.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication is a plus.
