= $23 $24/HR Based on Experience
= Tuesday Thursday | 6:00 AM 4:30 PM
Overtime Available on Mondays

Looking for a hands-on Mechanic who enjoys working with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment? This is a great opportunity to join a team assembling and testing complex aircraft ground support and aviation equipment!

=) POSITION SUMMARY

The Mechanic I works as part of a team to assemble, test, tear down, troubleshoot, and reassemble complex aircraft ground support and aviation equipment using hand and power tools.

This is a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment, so strong mechanical skill, problem-solving ability, and mechanical aptitude are important. Mechanics will work at a bench and on the shop floor while meeting productivity and quality standards across a broad product line of mechanical and powered products and jacks.

= ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

" Position parts according to knowledge of the unit being assembled by following blueprints and technical drawings
" Fasten parts using bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, and other fasteners
" Use a variety of hand and power tools
" Follow directions and established procedures
" Assemble, tear down, troubleshoot, and reassemble equipment as needed
" Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards

QUALIFICATIONS

" High school diploma or GED equivalent required
" Prior experience as a Mechanic preferred
" Experience with ground support equipment or complex industrial machinery is a plus
" 1 2 years of related experience with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical assemblies preferred
" Ability to read and interpret blueprints and bills of materials
" Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
" Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools
" Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to follow direction

= PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be able to:

" Stand for extended periods of time
" Lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
" Lift, push, and/or pull up to 100 lbs. with assistance
" Bend, kneel, and stoop frequently
" Work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
" Follow all safety requirements
" Work in small areas as needed to perform job duties
" Work with both arms extended for extended periods
" Climb step ladders and work platforms as needed

< WORK ENVIRONMENT

Normal shop environment with some exposure to noise, fumes, and dust.
