Industrial Mechanic – Materials Division

Industrial Mechanic – Materials Division Portland ORPorter W. Yett Co. is seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Mechanic to join our materials division. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing crusher and asphalt plant equipment to support safe and efficient operations.Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain crushing plant, aggregate, and asphalt plant equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on conveyors, crushers, screens, motors, bearings, pumps, and other plant equipment
• Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs in a timely manner
• Weld, fabricate, and replace components as needed
• Maintain equipment and work areas in safe operating condition
• Work closely with plant operators and supervisors to minimize downtime
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
• Respond to breakdowns and assist with emergency repairs when needed

Qualifications

• Experience working as an industrial mechanic, maintenance mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic
• Knowledge of crushing, aggregate, asphalt plant, or industrial equipment preferred
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor environments
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
• Valid driver’s license preferred
