Set up, operate, or tend machines to coat or paint any of a wide variety of products. Industrial or Automotive experience required. Paint Sprayers/ Paint Booth.
Duties:
- Wash, mask and hang unfinished parts
- Sand and clean parts in preparation for painting
- Mix paints per specifications and requirements
- Operate manual painting equipment
- Help maintain paint lines, spray booths and other equipment
- Using a variety of hand tools from wrenches and drills to dual action sanders and mixing equipment.
- Abrades surfaces of metal or hard-composition objects to remove adhering scale and dirt, and to impart specified finish, using abrasive- blasting equipment: Shovels or pours abrasives, such as glass bead sand, grit, shot or other specified blast media of specified grade into machine hopper or reclaim systems.
- Clean and maintain equipment and work area
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Previous industrial painting experience required
- Ability to work from blueprints, shop orders, written procedures, and verbal instructions from a Supervisor
- Knowledge of EPA guidelines and generally accepted practices and procedures related to the duties needed for this role.
