Who we are: Founded in 2011 and in Chandler, Arizona, we are a family owned and operated, rapidly growing company.  We were recognized in 2023 by the Chandler Chamber of Commerce as one of the best large employers in Chandler.  Our primary location is a 159,000 square foot / 13-acre Fabrication and Coating Facility.  Our services include Civil Engineering, Equipment Installation and Maintenance, Structural Erection, Electrical & Instrumentation Installation, Steel Fabrication, and Industrial Coatings. We serve customers across the Southwest United States and have completed projects in Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, Texas, and Colorado.

Our main shop is located at 5858 W Riggs Road, Chandler, AZ 85226. This position is in the field, working at different job sites in Arizona (may be required to travel)

Job Summary:

Loenbro Southwest is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our Coatings Division. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying various industrial coatings to metal surfaces, machinery, and other industrial structures. You will play a critical role in ensuring that all surfaces are properly prepared and coated to meet strict quality standards for durability, appearance, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, blasting, and masking to ensure proper adhesion of coatings.
• Apply industrial coatings, including primers, epoxy, urethane, and specialized finishes using spray guns, rollers, or brushes.
• Mix and match paints and coatings according to technical specifications and safety standards.
• Perform inspections to ensure quality, thickness, and uniformity of the coating.
• Operate and maintain spray equipment, compressors, and other tools safely and effectively.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain clean work areas and ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an industrial painter, preferably in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial setting.
• Proficiency in using various coating application techniques (airless spray, conventional spray, etc.).
• Knowledge of coating types, including epoxies, polyurethanes, and zinc-based primers.
• Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and coating specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Familiarity with safety standards and practices in industrial environments, including OSHA guidelines.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in industrial painting or coatings application.
• Experience with abrasive blasting.
• Forklift or other heavy equipment certification
