Job Position: Industrial Painter Helper
Location: Lakeland, FL 33811
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr
Shift: 1st Shift
Description: Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist industrial painters in preparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as required.
- Mix and prepare paints, coatings, and other materials following specified ratios and guidelines.
- Set up and maintain painting equipment, such as spray guns, brushes, rollers, and compressors.
- Transport and organize tools, materials, and supplies needed for painting tasks.
- Support the team in maintaining a clean and safe work environment by disposing of waste materials and cleaning equipment after use.
- Perform basic quality checks on painted surfaces to ensure proper application and adherence to specifications.
- Move and position materials, scaffolding, or other equipment necessary for painting tasks.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to company safety policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Familiarity with basic painting tools, equipment, and techniques used in industrial painting.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, standing, bending, and working in various environments.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices, including the handling of paints and chemicals.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to assist in ensuring quality standards are met.
- Willingness to work in varying conditions, including confined spaces, heights, or outdoor environments.
- No formal education requirements; however, a willingness to learn and follow procedures is essential.
