Now hiring for an Industrial Painter

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour

Schedule: 1st Shift | (5 AM - 1:30 PM) OR 2nd Shift | (2:30 PM - 1:30 PM)

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read work orders, shop prints, and manufacturing specifications
  • Training in industrial painting, blasting, or coating processes is a plus

Experience Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in industrial painting, spray coating, sandblasting, or related manufacturing environments
  • Experience using spray guns, coating equipment, precision gauges, and inspection tools
  • Knowledge of paint mixing, coating thickness (MIL) requirements, and surface preparation techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching throughout the shift
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse and manufacturing temperatures, including exposure to radiant heat
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, protective clothing, gloves, face shields, hard hats, and steel-toed footwear
  • Strong visual acuity, including color recognition and depth perception

Job Duties

  • Perform industrial blasting and surface preparation of manufactured products
  • Prepare products for coating by cleaning, masking, and staging materials
  • Mix paints, primers, enamels, lacquers, and other protective coatings according to specifications
  • Apply coatings using spray equipment to achieve required thickness and quality standards
  • Inspect coated products using wet and dry film gauges to verify compliance
  • Monitor curing processes and apply additional coats as needed
  • Move materials using hoists, forklifts, or other material handling equipment
  • Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records
  • Clean, maintain, and store painting equipment
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental procedures
