Industrial Painter

6am-START 4 - 10's Monday-Thursday- some possible OT on Friday as business warrants!

Auto Body Painters with minimum of 5 years' experience ok, will TRAIN the right candidate in the Mil-Spec process!

Overview
Responsible for applying high-performance coatings to metal components in compliance with MIL-SPEC standards, engineering drawings, and customer requirements. This role supports precision metal finishing in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces (cleaning, sanding, masking, blasting, priming) per specifications
• Apply coatings, primers, and finishes using spray equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Mix paints and coatings per manufacturer guidelines
• Ensure proper finish quality (thickness, adhesion, appearance)
• Inspect completed work for compliance with standards
• Maintain process documentation and quality records
• Follow all safety procedures for hazardous materials
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Work overtime/weekends as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years of experience in industrial painting or metal finishing
• Experience with spray application in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications
• Knowledge of MIL-SPEC coating standards and processes PREFERRED

Work Environment
Fast-paced manufacturing setting supporting both small-batch and high-volume production, including aerospace-related projects.
