Job Title: Industrial Painter
Location: Mansfield, OH (100% onsite)
Duration: 3 Months Contract
Payrate: $20.00 to $21.39 per hour.

Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Monday to Friday (Overtime is required)

Top Skills:

• Applies coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings, other structures, and/or equipment.
• A majority of time in the paint department will be in the Blast Booth.
• Blaster is required to wear a full body enclosed suit with supplied air.
• Reads work order or receives instructions from supervisor or homeowner regarding painting.
• smooths surfaces, using sandpaper, brushes, or steel wool, and removes old paint from surfaces, using paint remover, scraper, wire brush, or blowtorch to prepare surfaces for painting.

Job Description:

• We’re hiring an Industrial Painter / Blaster to help prepare and finish metal parts used in our operations.
• This role focuses on both surface preparation and applying protective coatings.

Responsibilities:

• Applies coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings, other structures, and/or equipment.
• Blaster is required to wear a full body enclosed suit with supplied air.
• Reads work order or receives instructions from supervisor or homeowner regarding painting.
• Smooths surfaces using sandpaper, brushes, or steel wool, and removes old paint from surfaces, using paint remover, scraper, wire brush, or blowtorch to prepare surfaces for painting.
• Ensure surfaces are clean and smooth before painting.

Must Have:

• Prior experience as a Painter.
• Experience with sand blasting.
• Experience using sandpaper, brushes, steel wool, scrapers, or other tools.

Training & Working Environment:

• You’ll start working full-time in the blast booth until you’re fully trained.
• Over time, you’ll transition into painting, with a goal of spending no more than 50% of your time blasting
• No prior experience required — we’ll train the right person.
• Must be aware that role is physically demanding. The hose has a lot of air/blast media going there and the operator have to control it.
• Industrial setting working with metal materials.
• Blast booth work requires wearing a full-body enclosed suit with supplied air.
• This is a physically demanding role — you’ll be handling high-pressure blasting equipment.
