THE OPPORTUNITY

Pro Services Workforce Solutions has partnered with Intel to fill multiple contract openings for Industrial Plant Electrical Journeymen on night shift. Positions are available at either of two Oregon plants: Intel's facility in Aloha, OR or its Ronler Acres facility in Hillsboro, OR.

You'll be a Pro Services employee working onsite as part of an expanding maintenance team. This role is built for a licensed journeyman with deep experience in large industrial power distribution and commissioning new systems, who's comfortable working across disciplines when the job calls for it.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Pro Services is an employee-owned industrial trades contractor that has served industrial and commercial customers since 1987. Our Workforce Solutions team places skilled maintenance professionals onsite with our customers, and we stand behind every tech we place. Our values are simple: Safety, Integrity, Pride, and Teamwork.

At either Intel plant, you'll work alongside the site's maintenance team and partner closely with Engineering on the electrical distribution systems that keep the facility running.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You're a licensed Oregon Journeyman or Plant Journeyman Electrician with 8+ years in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of facilities equipment and systems. You've commissioned new systems, you know large industrial power distribution up to 15kV, and you're just as comfortable working from a one-line diagram as you are with a Megger or an IR camera in your hand.

You're a team player who's willing and able to work overtime when it's needed. You can spot system and equipment deficiencies and take corrective action, and you can work safely in heavy PPE, including a Level 4 arc flash suit, outdoors in high temperatures.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation equipment and software.
  • Own preventive and predictive maintenance on all electrical distribution systems, and support work in other disciplines as needed.
  • Work from drawings, schematics, and other documentation.
  • Conduct daily rounds and readings.
  • Work closely with Engineering to establish total predictive maintenance procedures and cost models.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Oregon Journeyman or Plant Journeyman Electrician License (EE-98J). This is required.
  • 8+ years of experience in all aspects of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of facilities equipment and systems.
  • 8+ years of experience with the maintenance requirements of electrical facility systems, such as electrical distribution (up to 15kV), HVAC equipment, and facility piping systems, plus the associated controls and instrumentation for basic facility equipment and systems.
  • 8+ years of experience with metering and testing equipment, including a multimeter, Megger, Hi-Pot, ground fault detector, VLF, and IR camera.
  • Experience reading one-line electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Capable and willing to pass CPR/AED training, and willing and able to work overtime when needed.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC 70), NFPA 70B (Recommended Practice for Electrical Equipment Maintenance), and NFPA 70E (Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace).
  • Strong math skills and the ability to read single-line diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Ability to recognize system and equipment deficiencies and take corrective action.

Preferred qualifications are a plus and can come from industry experience, internships, or coursework.

PAY, BENEFITS AND SCHEDULE

  • $55/hr, paid weekly, as an employee of Pro Services, an employee-owned company (ESOP).
  • Pro covers 100% of medical insurance premiums starting on Day 1 for single and family plans.
  • Vision and dental insurance, a matching 401(k), and vacation and holiday pay.
  • Night shift, compressed workweek of four 10-hour shifts, with overtime as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to wear job-specific PPE, including heavy PPE such as a Level 4 arc flash protection suit, outdoors in high temperatures. Site-specific physical and safety requirements may apply.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs, and pull up to 250 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking, plus climbing ladders, stairs, ramps, and scaffolds, and bending or crawling into awkward spaces.
  • Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, squat, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service equipment, using fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to visually inspect machines.
  • Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of the job site in all types of weather, including wet, slippery, unsteady, irregular, narrow, vibrating, or moving surfaces.
