Summary of Position
The Associate V may perform a variety of significant tasks, which contribute to the overall quality and safety of pistachio & almond products, as well as the mechanical integrity of various machinery and computer systems throughout the facility. This may include performing tasks in multiple areas, including but not limited to Electrical Systems, Food Safety, Information Technology (IT) and Maintenance. The Associate V plays a vital role in their contribution to the overall goals of various departments.
Duties & Responsibilities
You may be asked to perform some, or all of the duties described below. This may include performing tasks in multiple areas, including but not limited to Electrical Systems, Food Safety, Information Technology (IT) and Maintenance.
Industrial Plumber Responsibilities:
- Operate Backhoe
- Operate Lift Reach Forklift
- Operate Loader
- Understand underground water infrastructure and the effect isolating water valve
- Operation of water valves
- Location of water valves
- Location of underground pipe work
- Maintain RO systems
- Installation and repair of all kind of pipe work
- Install piping systems for water, steam, compressed air, etc.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and piping schematics
- Install and test pumps, valves, gauges, and backflow prevention devices
- Fit and weld pipes using tools like threaders, cutters, and torches
- Inspect systems to identify wear, leaks, blockages, or malfunctioning components
- Perform preventative maintenance on industrial plumbing systems
- Repair or replace damaged pipes, joints, valves, and fixtures
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues and provide technical solutions
- Conduct pressure tests and inspections to ensure system integrity and compliance with standards
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inspection results
- Report issues or required upgrades to supervisors or facility managers
Critical Skills:

- Perform math functions at a HS level
- Possess the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Communicate effectively in writing to include emails, letters, presentations, etc.

- Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred but not required)
- Communicate issues or concerns to supervisor in a timely manner
- Entry level computer skills are required
- Attend safety meetings and other departmental or company related meetings as assigned
- Participate in all "Lock Out-Tag Out" (LOTO) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) events and trainings
- Observe all "Good Manufacturing Practices" (GMPs) as specified by the Company's food safety policy
- Perform additional duties as assigned. (May also be asked to perform "Task Level I & II" duties as needed)
Education / Experience:
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) recommended
- Trade/Technical certification recommended
- 1-2 years of related experience recommended
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Pay Range:
$22.80/Hr
