Starting Annual Pay: $111,000 - $120,000
A week in this role
Serve as the technical authority for the Industrial Electrification team, setting design direction and quality expectations.
Lead and mentor Senior Electrical Engineers and Electrical Superintendents as they plan and perform site surveys and translate findings into robust power distribution designs and construction-ready installation plans.
Evaluate existing industrial power systems for capacity and loading; produce and approve one-line diagrams.
Own and/or approve designs for medium/low-voltage power distribution, optimizing for material utilization, lead times, integration downtime, and ease of install.
Research and enforce all applicable electrical and building codes and accepted best practices.
Coordinate with internal teams and customer stakeholders to support electrical project costing, quoting, and planning.
Partner with operations and program management to translate scope into timelines, resource plans, and mobilization strategies before kickoff.
Develop detailed material takeoffs and hand off to purchasing; source technical components and validate alternates for compatibility under project constraints.
Direct internal electricians and subcontractors to execute the work plan safely and efficiently; verify lockout/tagout (LOTO) before work begins.
Support field teams with remote and on-site troubleshooting to resolve system issues swiftly.
Review and sign off on installations including Unistrut frames/hangers, cable tray, conduit, panels, disconnects, junction boxes, and motors.
Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained for work areas, machines, tools, and equipment.
Collaborate closely with low-voltage/controls specialists to ensure seamless system integration.
Perform arc flash studies and issue appropriate labels at project closeout.
Take on additional routine site duties as requested by site management.
