We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Process Pipefitter / Pipe Welder (Lead) to join our team in Harrisonburg, VA. If you take pride in your craftsmanship and thrive in a leadership role, we encourage you to apply.

Position Overview

In this role, you will lead the installation, fabrication, and maintenance of industrial piping systems. You will oversee field crews, coordinate project activities, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position emphasizes both hands-on technical expertise and field leadership.

What You'll Do

• Lead and coordinate industrial piping installation projects
• Install, fit, and weld piping systems, including large and small bore pipe
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and P&ID schematics
• Plan and schedule upcoming work activities and crew assignments
• Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades on-site
• Support installation of boilers, chillers, and cooling towers
• Perform rigging of piping systems and heavy equipment
• Ensure all work meets project specifications, codes, and quality standards
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to field team members

What We're Looking For

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial piping or pipefitting
• Strong experience with:
• Carbon steel piping
• Stainless steel piping and tubing
• PVC and copper systems
• Welded and threaded piping systems
• Experience preparing and installing large-bore weld pipe
• Knowledge of fitting take-offs for threaded and welded systems
• TIG and Stick welding capability preferred
• Experience with boilers, chillers, and cooling tower systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and P&ID schematics
• Experience with rigging practices and heavy equipment handling

Professional Requirements

• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must have essential hand tools for the trade
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel as needed
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including drug screen and background checks

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on role in an industrial environment and may include:

• Frequent standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Extended driving or travel to job sites as needed
• Exposure to construction materials, equipment, and industrial systems
