Industrial - Production & Maintenance Manager - Andrews, SC

We are seeking a hands-on Production & Maintenance Manager to oversee daily plant operations within a small manufacturing environment. This role is approximately 75% focused on production leadership and 25% focused on maintenance management, making it an excellent opportunity for a manufacturing leader who enjoys balancing operational performance, equipment reliability, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be highly visible on the production floor, leading teams, improving processes, driving operational efficiency, and supporting capital improvement projects.

Description

Responsibilities:

• Lead production scheduling, planning, and execution to meet customer and business objectives.
• Manage plant maintenance programs, including preventive maintenance and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Provide leadership to production supervisors, lead operators, mechanics, and support personnel.
• Oversee capital projects, contractor activities, and facility improvement efforts.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Monitor operational metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Support ERP-related planning and operational reporting activities.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

• 5-10 years of manufacturing leadership experience in a production, operations, plant management, or maintenance leadership role.
• Experience managing both production and maintenance functions within a manufacturing environment.
• Background in process manufacturing, including operations involving wet processes, milling, slurry handling, pumps, bulk materials, chemicals, minerals, aggregates, food processing, or similar industries.
• Strong process-focused mindset with a history of improving operational performance.
• Demonstrated project management experience, including capital projects and contractor coordination.
• ERP experience and strong organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• Hands-on, approachable leadership style with the ability to thrive in a smaller manufacturing setting.
