Build the projects that keep power plants performing
Based in: Denver, CO — Hybrid
You’re the kind of engineer who can walk a unit, spot a reliability risk, and quickly translate it into a scoped, budgeted, and executable plan. In this role, you’ll manage a pipeline of emergent and small-to-mid capital projects for a generation fleet and support larger base and major efforts—all while keeping safety and plant needs front and center.
How you’ll make an impact
- Initiate and plan: Convert operational needs into scopes, technical specifications, estimates, and justifications; steer internal capital requests and approvals, especially for emergent work.
- Execute: Lead bidding, vendor selection, and procurement; coordinate deliveries, installations, and site activities; participate in daily planning (POD) meetings to align work fronts.
- Control: Maintain schedules, budgets, and reporting using Excel, SharePoint, and project systems; manage risk and change.
- Field oversight: Direct contractors to ensure safe execution and adherence to drawings/specs; leverage document systems (e.g., ProjectWise) to validate layouts and as-builts.
- Close and commission: Support functional testing, punch list burn-down, and document handover.
Work pattern
Hybrid arrangement with roughly three on-site days per week; increased on-site presence when projects are in active construction or commissioning. Core hours Monday–Friday, with flexibility and occasional extended hours as project needs evolve.
